rohde & schwarz has developed a setup that enables 3d rf measurements of antenna characteristics in a temperature range from –20 °c to 85 °c . integrating the r&s ats-temp climate option into an r&s ats1000 antenna test system makes it possible for the first time ever to combine testing in an rf ota chamber and climatic chamber testing into a single procedure, saving engineers measurement time.

at mobile world congress 2018, rohde & schwarz will showcase its innovative solutions in keeping with its theme "optimizing the present. designing the future." for chip manufacturers, the first one-box 5g nr test solutions will be on display. rohde & schwarz will also present the world’s first test solution for a chipset that utilizes enhanced carrier aggregation (eca) for lte mobile broadband transmissions. the chipset receives and processes eight downlink carrier signals in parallel, allowing transmission rates of up to 2 gbit/s in current lte networks.
