hspa and hspa
the r&s®smw-k83 option extends the r&s®smw-k42 3gpp fdd option to support hspa and hspa , including:
general
- support of all hsdpa, hsupa and hspa physical channels
- hsdpa h-sets 1 to 12 with channel coding
- user-editable h-set configuration
- fixed reference channels (frc) 1 to 8, user-configurable frc
-
- hsupa frc settings menu.
- 64 qam (with tti) in downlink
higher-order modulation schemes
- 4pam modulation for e-dpdch channels in uplink
continuous packet connectivity (cpc)
- hs-scch-less operation in downlink
- uplink dtx cpc for ue1
mimo
- mimo precoding for hsdpa; d-txaa (double transmit antenna array)
- hs-scch type 3 for signaling mimo precoding weights
- hs-dpcch signaling for ues in mimo mode (incl. cqi types a and b)
enhanced features for base-station/mobile-station tests
the r&s®smw-k83 option makes it possible to vary the output power in realtime mode for up to three dpch in downlink and ue1 in uplink in three submodes:
- external: the dut provides tpc info to the r&s®smw200a via an external connector (ttl level)
- by tpc pattern: the tpc pattern is used to control the output power
- manual: the output power is changed incrementally by pressing buttons or sending the corresponding remote command
this feature can be used, for example, for rx tests on base stations or ues where closed-loop power control is needed.
in uplink, the output of the frc harq processes can be controlled in realtime using a feedback line (ttl) via which acks and nacks are received in order to test base stations in line with 3gpp ts 25.141, chapters 8.12 and 8.13.
- harq feedback function for 3gpp bts tests.
