in downlink mode, the p-ccpch (bch with running sfn) and up to three dpch can be generated in realtime. in uplink mode, the dpcch and one dpdch of one mobile station can be simulated in realtime.
this allows continuous measurement of ber and bler in a code channel with any pn data without wrap-around problems. furthermore, user-specific data (e.g. with payload information from higher layers) -can be used as source (in form of data lists).
enhanced channels support full channel coding in line with the reference measurement channels defined in ts 25.101, ts 25.104 and ts 25.141. the different coding stages can also be switched on and off individually, or configured by the user.
therefore, the r&s®smw200a is ideal for ber and bler tests in line with ts 25.101/104/141, for example:
- adjacent channel selectivity
- blocking characteristics
- intermodulation characteristics
- dynamic range
the test case wizard supports tests on base stations in line with 3gpp ts 25.141. it offers a selection of predefined settings according to test cases defined therein.

signals for testing amplifiers and other components can be set up quickly with the predefined settings assistant:
