bluetooth^® is a wpan with low data rates combined with low power consumption. bluetooth^® is a spread spectrum frequency hopping system that works in the internationally available ism bands at 2.4 ghz. with bluetooth^® specification 2.0, enhanced data rate (edr) and in specification 4.0, low energy (le) was implemented.

the r&s^®smu-k60 option enables the r&s^®smu200a to generate bluetooth^® signals in accordance with version 2.1 including edr and le.

• flexible configuration of the packet contents: standard-compliant packets configured with an intuitive packet editor or all-data packets that use predefined or user-specified data sources
• optional data whitening
• generation of signals in accordance with the dirty transmitter test specification for both the basic and enhanced data rates
• power ramp control including ramp time, rise and fall offset
• configuration of the clipping, filter and modulation settings for the different modes
